Berghaus has announced it will partner with Nikwax, the specialist in environmentally safe aftercare and waterproofing solutions for technical footwear, clothing and equipment, to include Nikwax Hydrophobic Down (NHD) in its range for winter 2016. NHD is said to provide optimum outdoor insulation. It features water-resistance, low weight and high insulation, without the use of hazardous persistent chemicals. Nikwax claims to be the only major aftercare company to have never used aerosols or fluorocarbons. In 2014 Nikwax was awarded the Queen's Award for Sustainable Development.
