Columbia Sportswear said that by raising over $123,000 in 2013 alone, its overall donation from its Tested Tough in Pink Collection exceeded $1 million. Since 2007 the U.S.-based outdoor company, in collaboration with participating retailers, has helped the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) provide thousands of free mammograms and early detection services for under-served women in all the country's 50 states. With the average cost of a mammogram being $100, support from this campaign has reached around 10,000 women and their families in the U.S. The NBCF is rated as a four star organization, i.e. the highest rating, by Charity Navigator, America's largest independent charity evaluator.
