India has introduced national standards for organic textiles. The new Indian Standards for Organic Textiles (ISOT) cover the lifecycle of the cotton fiber from crops to clothing. The ISOT will be introduced in the National Standards for Organic Production, which includes norms of organic production and processing of agriculture crops as well as certification standards.
