According to its website, the French outdoor brand Lafuma has become a member of 1% for the Planet this June. Lafuma will donate 1 percent of the sales of its equipment range to partner associations approved by the initiative. Lafuma also says on its website that the step to join was logical, considering the brand’s more than 30 years of commitment. Since 1993 Lafuma has worked or is working with WWF, France Nature Environnement, Naturevolution, Surfrider, Mountain Riders, Mountain Wilderness, Act for the Outdoors and others. Lafuma is one of the brands that assumed their share of responsibility at a very early stage, in the conviction that it has considerable leverage.

Together with the Millet brand, Lafuma is part of the Lafuma Group, which in turn is part of the Calida Group. The group has just sold its surf-inspired sportswear brand Oxbow to Rainbow, a company founded by Emmanuel Debruères and Jean-Christophe Chetail, who worked together for several years at Dakine.
