Oboz helped plant more than one million trees since it started working in 2008 with Trees for the Future, an international organization that is committed to improve the environment and lives of communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. This means that the company has sold or demonstrated more than one million shoes since its inception in the same year, as it has been making a donation for every pair sold by retailers or tested by consumers at special events. To celebrate this milestone, Oboz hosted a party during the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market on Aug. 4. Guests were invited to try out a pair of Oboz shoes and the company said it would plant a tree for every pair tested. Founded in 1989, Trees for the Future has planted over 100 million trees all over the world.
