Patagonia wants to give its contribution to the completion of the Patagonia National Park, located in the Patagonian region, shared by Argentina and Chile. The outdoor brand has presented Mile for Mile, a 15-minute film celebrating the Patagonian landscape through the sport of trail running, in an effort to attract its customers' attention and help fund the completion of the park. The project is ready but a final push is needed to complete the trail system through the addition of more than 50 miles of trail, which will make the park truly accessible to those who want to enjoy it. The total estimated cost per mile is $1,600. Patagonia said it will match all donations “mile for mile” for the completion of the trail system, until Dec. 31. The Mile for Mile film will screen in the U.S. in various Patagonia retail stores over the coming months. The film showcases the experiences of three ultra runners in the Patagonian region while aiming to highlight the uniqueness of the park. Conservacion Patagonica, a non-profit organization, will collect the funds donated as part of the campaign.
