Pyua, a German producer of apparel for freeskiers and snowboarders, presented its new collection at this year's OutDoor fair in Friedrichshafen. The company is young, founded in 2008, and already offers a wide range of products. The brand manufactures garments that are made of 100 percent recycled material. Additionally, all material is completely recyclable. For the first time, Pyua is offering a T-shirt collection. A mono-brand store is not planned yet, as the brand would need a collection for the spring/summer and fall/winter seasons and more diverse collections. The company manufactures all its product line in Europe only, mainly in Portugal, where 90 percent of the production takes place. Pyua works together with leading suppliers, such as Teijin for textiles, Sympatex for membranes, PrimaLoft for insulation and Riri Zippers for its zippers. The freeride collection 2011-12 encompasses 60 pieces. The design is based on the forms and colors in nature. For example, all products feature an asymmetrical design and warm, vivid earth colors but also bright colors. Pyua is a member of the recycling system eco-circle, developed by Teijin. Products can be returned to one of the 16,400 recycling banks in Europe. All Pyua products are returned to Teijin in Japan, where they are recycled.
