The North Face is making a commitment to use only polyester made from recycled fibers by 2016. Its Denali jacket is already a step in that direction for TNF, whose apparel is 80 percent made with polyester. As part of its sustainability drive, TNF is expanding its clothing take-back program for used shoes and clothing, Clothes the Loop, from ten to 27 stores. The company will also adopt the Responsible Down Standard.
