The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Group (ZDHC) says in its annual report that “tangible process” is being made in leading the textile industry to improved environmental responsibility.  The group has conducted 25 pilot audits in eight countries, and some of its member brands have started to implement its Environmental Audit Protocol. The four-year-old group has also developed a draft Chemical Management System Manual to assist brands, retailers and suppliers to improve chemical management and move toward zero discharge of hazardous chemicals. Besides the European Outdoor Group, Jack Wolfskin and many sports companies, including Nike, are members of ZDHC.
