The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation has recognized Control Union and NSF International as its newest accepted certification standards, as Indicators of ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC MRSL) Conformance. Control Union is the first certification body that certifies chemical products on all three ZDHC Conformance Levels. This means that its certified products can now be used by chemical suppliers to indicate Level 1, 2 and 3 conformity of their products with the ZDHC MRSL on the ZDHC Gateway - Chemical Module. Control Union focuses on developing services around the sustainability of the industry's supply chains in the food, feed, bio energy and textiles markets. The Eko Sustainable Textile Standard, developed by Control Union, was the first standard for the textile industry that addressed sustainability. Control Union has also played an active role in developing the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). Meanwhile, NSF International is now accepted by the ZDHC Foundation to certify chemical products as Level 1 conformant. NSF International is an independent, global organization that writes environmental standards, and tests and certifies products for the food, water, health sciences and consumer goods industries. It has operations in more than 175 countries. Control Union and NSF International join the eight certification standards that are already approved by the ZDHC Foundation, bringing the total number of collaborators to ten.
