Vaude has set up collection boxes for used clothes in its 15 franchised stores. The clothes will be handed over to people in need. The accompanying flyer tells the customer what will happen with his or her donation. Garments from any brand can be deposited in the boxes. The store manager will send the collected clothes to an organization that is affiliated with Fairwertung, a German association that includes about 100 non-profit organizations engaged in the collection of used clothing. Vaude has been working with Fairwertung since 2012, donating returned goods that cannot be resold as well as samples.
