Vaude is the recipient of this year's German Business Ethics Network (DNWE) Award for corporate ethics. The company's chief executive, Antje von Dewitz, received the award during a ceremony at the Hochschule Niederrhein in Mönchengladbach, on Feb. 22. Vaude will receive €10,000 for its initiatives for sustainable business. The German Business Ethics Network honors with this biennial award companies or other organizations that align their actions to the promotion of sustainable economic and social policies. The award focuses on developmental activities, as formulated, for example, in the criteria of the UN Global Compact or the OECD guidelines. Previous winners have included well-known companies and organizations such as Puma, Faber Castell, Otto, Ristic and BSCI.
