VF Corp. has become a signatory to the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Change, which means that the lifestyle group commits to net-zero emissions by 2050. VF owns a large portfolio of brands including The North Face, Timberland, Vans, Wrangler and others. The signatories of the charter also commit to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent by 2030, and to engage in dialogue with key governments in order to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. The Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Change was first launched at the United Nations international climate negotiations in Katowice, Poland, in December 2018. Among the other signatories are Adidas, Puma, the Mammut Sports Group, New Balance, Arc'teryx, Salomon, the Kering Group, PVH Corp, Gap, H&M, and Inditex.
