Wolverine has announced that it will be donating the Labor Day proceeds from its new boot, the Iron Grey Journeyman, to the American College of the Building Arts (ACBA) in Charleston, South Carolina, to celebrate the launch of the shoe. The footwear and apparel company, based in Rockford, Michigan, will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the boot from Aug. 20 to Sept. 3, 2019, to help more ACBA students train for a career in the skilled trades. Labor Day 2019 in the U.S. will be celebrated on Sept. 2. The Journeyman boot, made for tradespeople, has been designed with insights and inspiration from trade school students and teachers of the ACBA.
