Karpos has announced that it will be donating 10 percent of the proceeds from the sales on its online store from Nov. 23 to Nov. 30 to mountain rescue services in the Italian areas of Belluno, Piedmont and Tuscany. The timing of the initiative, dubbed Mountain Friday, coincides with the Black Friday for shopping, which will be celebrated worldwide on Friday, Nov. 27. In addition to supporting mountain rescue services, the money will be used to support the training sessions that rescuers will be carrying out to teach respect for the mountains.
