Russia’s biggest online retailer, Wildberries, has stepped up its international expansion by entering the Israeli market, the company said in a statement. The company will be offering buyers in Israel up to 5 million items from 39,000 brands, including sports products, clothing, toys and household appliances. Purchased items are to be delivered through a network of local logistics partners, with 600 partner delivery points already in place in the country. The company is now operating in nine countries. Israel is the fourth country Wildberries has emerged in since the beginning of 2020. In the first 11 months of 2020, Wildberries’s export turnover jumped by 89 percent to 17.1 billion rubles (€192m-$232m), with a growth in volume of 124 percent.
