American Outdoor Brands, formerly known as Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation until 2016, has announced that Curtis Smith has been named chief marketing officer, a newly created role in the company. Smith will lead the marketing, brand management, creative, e-commerce, and customer service teams. Smith joined the company as a divisional vice-president of marketing in October 2017. Prior to that, he was a global product lane director at Vista Outdoor. He also served as director of global product line management and global category manager at Coleman, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of outdoor camping gear. American Outdoor Brands has a large portfolio of brands, many of them catering to the hunting and fishing community, including Caldwell, Crimson Trace, Wheeler, Smith & Wesson Accessories, BUBBA, UST, LaserLyte or MEAT!.
