Reiner Pichler, group chief executive of the Calida Group since April 2016, which includes the Lafuma Group with the outdoor brands Millet and Lafuma, is stepping down to take on new tasks that will give him more flexibility and no longer require a full-time presence, which is most likely an indication that he will focus on board memberships. Until a qualified successor is found, Pichler will continue to manage the Group. Calida’s board of directors reports that the search has already been initiated. Under Pichler’s leadership, the Calida Group has been able to grow continuously - with the exception of slight setbacks due to the Corona pandemic in the first half of the year - and to make progress in digitalization and e-commerce. The sales of Eider to the South Korean K2 Group in November 2019 and of the surf-inspired lifestyle brand Oxbow to Rainbow in May of this year were also completed under Pichler’s leadership. Prior to the Calida Group, Pichler was CEO of the German fashion group s.Oliver (2013-2015) and of the Holy Fashion Group (1994-2013). In addition to his responsibilities at Calida, Pichler is currently also president of the board of directors of the Zurich-based eyewear start-up ViU.
