Polaris, a U.S. snowmobile and off-road vehicle manufacturer, has announced the appointment of Michael Speetzen, the company’s Executive VP and CFO, to serve as interim CEO. Speetzen joined Polaris in August 2015 as Executive VP Finance and CFO. Prior to Polaris, he had served as Senior VP and CFO of Xylem since 2011, when the company was formed from the spinoff of the water businesses of ITT Corp. He had joined ITT in 2009. Prior to ITT, he served as Executive VP and CFO for the StandardAero Company and also held finance functions at Honeywell and General Electric. Speetzen currently serves on the board of directors of Pentair. In addition to Speetzen’s appointment, Bob Mack, Polaris’ Senior VP Corporate Development & Strategy and President of Global Adjacent Markets and Boats, has been named interim CFO. John Wiehoff was appointed Chair of the Board. Each of the three appointments will be effective Jan. 1, 2021.
