Ibex, an American brand that was generating annual sales of about $20 million from its merino wool performance apparel, has found a new owner for its assets, following an auction launched in January. Ibex is now a property of Flour Fund, a New York-based investment fund led by a marketing expert, David Hazan, that operates on a licensing model that it has already applied to three other brands acquired in the last three years: Quirky, the Little Drone Ip and Skora. Based in Vermont, Ibex ceased operations last November, liquidating its remaining inventories, after terminating all its wholesale activities to concentrate on its own shops.
