Cake, the award-winning Swedish company established in 2016 as a “high-performance zero-emission off-road motorcycle brand” by the founder of POC Sport, Stefan Ytterborn, has joined the Scandinavian Outdoor Group (SOG) as its newest member. Cake is headquartered in Stockholm.

Cake also just announced that it has expanded the brand partnership with Polestar, the electric performance automobile brand owned by Volvo Car Group and Zhejiang Geely Holding from China, to showcase Cake’s electric motorcycles in Polestar’s showrooms in Europe, to start with. The two Swedish companies began collaborating in 2019 when the chief executives of both organizations, Thomas Ingenlath (Polestar) and Stefan Ytterborn (Cake), recognized the shared brand values of their businesses. According to both brands, Scandinavian design, electric powertrains, and a new take on marketing, brand, and retail are just a few of the similarities that made both companies eager to collaborate. Cake will collaborate with Polestar for events and customer interactions, affording both brands the opportunity to reach new audiences and to drive an exchange around a new, more sustainable future in which electric transportation serves a central role.
