This is always a really important time of year for the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and our members. At a day-to-day business level, the winter season is underway, and how that proceeds has great significance for businesses in our sector. Meanwhile, brands and retailers are also putting a big focus on next year – and beyond – and that will be at the heart of ISPO Munich at the end of the month.

We’re excited about how the show is shaping up this year on a number of levels. Space in the outdoor halls proved to be very popular and sold quickly, and we’re hearing from many retailers in the sector that they are planning to attend. Meanwhile, we’re building on our own successful initiative from last year, which positioned the EOG booth in one of the halls.

For 2023, we’re taking our approach up a level by combining our booth with a stage, all located close to the ISPO Sustainability Hub in Hall A1. This will elevate the EOG’s profile at the show and offer a high-profile showcase of the latest news and insights from the outdoor sector. Over the three days, we have created a comprehensive program of events that will be hosted on the stage, covering a wide variety of topics and featuring many expert voices of authority. You can find the full schedule at www.europeanoutdoorgroup.com/articles/eog-programme-of-events-at-ispo-2023, and all of the events on the EOG stage are free to attend.

As usual, the Industry Breakfast will be a highlight. We are hosting the event in partnership with the European Outdoor Conservation Association and the It’s Great Out There Coalition, and it will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 7:30-9:00. We encourage colleagues to join us if they can.

We’re really excited by the potential of this approach to the EOG’s presence at ISPO Munich and are grateful for the support of the team at Messe Munich for making it possible. Our team will be there throughout the show and will welcome the opportunity to speak with anyone who would like to know more about the association and our key programs, which focus on CSR and sustainability, market insights, industry events and public affairs. Please come and say hello.
