Wolverine Worldwide says it expects a visit this week from U.S. Senator Gary Peters, who is expected to make an announcement regarding new legal provisions that would require the Pentagon to source athletic shoes for U.S. military forces from domestic sources. The bill, which may be approved in September, would help maintain and strengthen Wolverine's shoe manufacturing facilities in Big Rapids, Michigan. The media will be allowed to participate in the visit of the premises.
