Columbia Sportswear said that it had become the sponsor of the Russian freestyle ski teams, starting with the upcoming World Cup season and encompassing the 2014 Winter Olympics, where Russian skiers will compete on their own mountains, in Sochi. Columbia is already a prominent sponsor of freestyle skiing through its partnership with the Canadian freestyle teams since 2008 and the U.S. teams since last year.
