DAV, the German Alpine Club, has managed to increase the total number of members from 648,000 to currently more than 940,000 over the past ten years. These figures have been given by Vaude as it celebrates the tenth annniversary of its partnership with the alpine club. The cooperation began in 2002 with a project called “sustainable ski mountaineering.” Currently, the outdoor company supplies seven teams comprising 117 mountaineering instructors with the necessary gear. Since 2008, Vaude has been supporting the German national team of climbers under the flag of DAV.
