Lowa Boots is opening its fourth demo center in the U.S. at the YMCA in the Rockies Estes Park Center in Colorado, which is surrounded by the Rocky Mountain National Park. The other demo centers opened so far this year are at the Sierra Club's Center in California's Sierra Nevada, the Appalachian Mountain Club in Pinkham Notch, New Hampshire and the Mohican Outdoor Center in Blairstown, New Jersey. At these centers, Lowa's U.S. distribution company gives hundreds of hikers the possibility to wear its boots for free trials. In this way, the company says, visitors get a chance to realize the benefit of wearing top-quality footwear designed for specific terrains, as opposed to the everyday casual or basketball-type shoes that are frequently seen on these trails. The company also trains the staff at the demo centers to communicate with visitors about the latest technologies and the stories behind the brand. Employees are encouraged to try different models themselves, so that they can give advice based on a direct knowledge of the products.
