PrimaLoft has announced a partnership with Fiberpartner, a global provider of staple fibers, industrial yarns and plastics. The licensing agreement enables Fiberpartner to use the PrimaLoft® Bio™ technology in a variety of new industries. PrimaLoft® Bio™ consists of 100 percent recycled fibers that biodegrade when exposed to environmental conditions such as those found in landfills, seawater and sewage systems. The staple fibers produced with PrimaLoft® Bio™ complement Fiberpartner’s portfolio of regular polyester fibers and are intended for use in a wide range of applications. Fiberpartner is a family-owned company with more than 160 years of experience in the textile sector and supplies staple fibers to customers in the nonwovens, home textiles and other industrial applications. The company is based in Denmark and has subsidiaries in Bulgaria, Estonia, Poland, Mexico and South Africa.
