German professional and sports climbing and safety gear specialist Skylotec is the new main sponsor of Grimpday, an international rope rescue competition that brings together rescue teams from all around the world. Whether in the fire brigade, civil defence, the military or the police – rescuers working in altitude risk everything for the lives of others every day. These highly qualified specialists compete once a year with search and rescue teams at the Grimpday in Namur, Belgium.
At the beginning of the year, Skylotec acquired the Swedish company ActSafe, the global market leader in the field of motorized cable winches. By integrating ActSafe, Skylotec further expanded its expertise in the field of rope access technology.
