To back up its “unique steps” claim, Dachstein has announced sponsorship deals with two new Austrian ambassadors, Andy Holzer and Hannes Arch. Holzer, an East Tyrolean who has been blind since his birth on Sept. 3, 1966, has the ambition to climb all the seven summits. He reached the 5,165-meter-high top of Ararat last May. He has been filmed as part of the European Outdoor Film Tour. Other sponsors include Carinthia, Colletex, Orthovox, Hagan skis and Adidas Eyewear, among others. Arch, who is one year younger at the age of 45, is an all-around adventurer who is most well known for his exploits as an acrobatic and stunt pilot, but he is also a hiker, climber and paraglider. Aside from Milon, he has no other sponsors from the sporting goods sector.
