Canada Goose is making a big pitch for the Chinese market, where another Canadian sports outerwear brand, Arc'teryx, enjoys a strong position and a high status. Canada Goose will soon open a regional headquarters for Greater China in Shanghai that will be run by Scott Cameron, former executive vice president, head of strategy, e-commerce and direct-to-consumer operations. The brand will open later this year its first two Chinese flagship stores, operated by the ImagineX Group, as well as an online store on Tmall. The physical stores will start operating in Hong Kong in October and in Beijing in November. The brand has had a presence in the Chinese market for the past five years, notably through high-end department stores.
