Optamit, the German owner and distributor of outdoor brands, has taken over the distribution of the U.S. brand Geigerrig in Europe since June. Geigerrig manufactures hydration packs with an innovative spray function that are priced at €60-75 at the retail level. Optamit aims to sell the brand via the outdoor and bicycle distribution channel. An online shop for retailers was also launched in June. An exception in the European distribution of Geigerrig is the British distributor Whitby, which will be distributing the brand in the U.K. Whitby also distributes Optamit's own hunting telescope brand Lunger in the U.K.
