Pierre Cote is stepping down as general manager of Tecnica Group Canada after 26 years with the company. Antonio Dus, chief executive of Tecnica Group SpA, the parent of Tecnica Group Canada, has decided that the time is therefore right to restructure the Canadian leadership. The overall group has already made similar changes in Europe in its quest to integrate strategic markets worldwide. Although continuing to operate as an independent subsidiary, Tecnica Group Canada will now form part of a North American entity under Chris Licata, president and chief executive of Tecnica Group USA, and Pam Kidder, executive vice president and chief financial officer. According to Licata, the goal is to find synergies while preserving distinctions between the “very different” markets of the U.S. and Canada.
