With the beginning of 2014, Optimus, the Swedish stove brand owned by the Swiss Katadyn group, will be distributed by Robijns B.V., in the Benelux countries. The move will bundle the distribution of all Katadyn-owned brands - Katadyn for water purification, Trek'n Eat for outdoor nutrition and Optimus - in one hand for the region. Robijns, based in Aalsmeer, represents a wide range of equipment and accessories brands in Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, including Suunto, Camelbak, Wenger, Rubytec, Pacsafe among others. Primus, another stove brand currently in the portfolio of Robijns, will switch to the Dutch operations of Fjällräven, a brand which is, like Primus, owned by Fenix Outdoor. The current distributor, Jongejans Trading, will handle all Optimus sales for 2013 while retailers can already place their pre-orders for 2014 at Robijns. Jongejans sells some other outdoor brands in the region, including GSI Outdoors, Exped and Royal Robbins.
