Woolrich has restructured its distribution in Germany and Austria. Woolrich Europe, which was created at the beginning of the year as a spin-off from its Italian licensee, WP Lavori in Corso, has established a subsidiary in Germany to take care of the distribution in the two countries. In spite of the name, Woolrich Europe also covers Japan and South Korea as part of its licensing agreement with the brand owner in the U.S. The previous distributor for Germany and Austria, Komet und Helden, will be a shareholder in the Germany subsidiary, which is based in Munich. Woolrich is currently working with 180 retailers and department stores in the country. It has mono-brand stores in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Sylt. It plans to open two others in Stuttgart and Vienna in 2017.
