The Lafuma Group has reported the successful completion of an equity increase of €10 million, but the company had not yet published the new structure of the capital as of today. In a preliminary report, the group has indicated that its sales inched up by 2.8 percent in the quarter ended last Dec. 31 in terms of local currencies, with a big increase of 21.3 percent for Oxbow. The Grand Outdoor division, which consists essentially of the Lafuma brand, raised its sales by 1.8 percent, whereas the usually better Mountain segment, led by Millet and Eider, suffered a decline of 0.2 percent Total sales reached €41.4 million for the quarter, which represented a bumper fiscal year before the group's transition to a calendar year. Sales in France were off by 0.1 percent, while sales in other countries were up by 6.9 percent.
