A group of sports-oriented engineering students will participate in the first Raid Innovation in the Savoy region of France next Oct. 11-12. It will be a rather unusual challenge as they will have to develop a technical product idea within 36 hours, based on a subject proposed by a jury of French sports and leisure industry professionals, while competing in a series of trail running and cycling races. The Raid Innovation is an initiative conducted by Sporaltec, a cluster of companies and technical laboratories operating in the sports, leisure and health sectors in the Rhône-Alpes region of France.
