Emerald Expositions, the organizer of the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, has released figures about the impact of coronavirus-related cancellations. The company said that the 23 events that had to be canceled to date account for around $116 million of its 2019 revenues. The announcement came with an update on upcoming events and on the company’s liquidity position as of March 31. Emerald holds insurance contracts to protect against event disruptions under certain circumstances. These reportedly include communicable diseases. The company said it is currently pursuing claims to offset the financial impact of canceled and postponed events as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
