More than 150 exhibitors will participate in the Outdoor Retailer Open Air Demo on Aug. 3, the opening day of the show, to give retailers a chance to test their new products. That's a 50 percent increase from one year ago. The Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, which is bursting at the seams, will unveil a New Exhibitor Pavilion to give companies new to the show an opportunity to introduce themselves. The pavilion will be a covered outdoor exhibit with more than 150 new brands. Another 50 first-timers will have space where new brands have typically exhibited : in the Grand Ballroom and mezzanine areas of the Salt Palace. To help promote the new pavilion, organizers will have raffles, special opening hours, healthy-food vendors and updates disseminated via the OR Summer Market 2011 mobile app. The show's organizers urge visitors to download the application from its website, www.outdoorretailer.com, to help navigate through the show.
