According to Boardsport Source, the outfitter SUPscout and the paddle board e-tailer Starboard SUP are coordinating a nationwide effort to clean up the lakes, rivers and beaches of Germany this weekend, Sept. 5-6. The second annual SUP Cleanup provides a list of meeting points for everybody who wants to participate. Many of the sites provide trash bags, however it would be wise to bring your own bags as stock may be limited. Some sites will also provide SUP boards free for the clean up event. Participants are urged to double-check with the organizer of the location. If there’s no cleanup spot nearby, interested participants are invited to register their own.
