The Swiss Irontrail 2014, presented by Mammut, yielded a big surprise when a woman passed the finish line in Davos, on Aug. 17, as the overall winner. Denise Zimmermann from Mels, Switzerland, covered the total 202 kilometers in 38:15.54 hours and was more than 39 minutes ahead of the male competition. Mammut Sports, main sponsor of the event, said this year's Swiss Irontrail was a great success thanks to the impressive performance of the runners and despite difficult weather conditions. The runners were confronted with the full range of weather conditions, from sunshine to clouds, fog, rain, snow and ice.
