The Outdoor Economy Conference, a U.S. event for those looking to grow the outdoor industry in their own regions, will be held virtually this year. The third edition of the event will be divided into five creatively designed half-day virtual workshops, held every Thursday in October from 12 noon to 4 p.m. EST. The daily topics are summarized under the umbrella theme “The future of the outdoor industry.” Through a series of keynotes, presentations, panels and workshops, participants will explore topics such as Healthy Communities through Recreation; Growth through Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Outdoor Innovation and Entrepreneurship; The Next Generation Outdoors; and Building Outdoor Communities. Speakers at the U.S. market-focused event include Teresa Baker, founder of the Outdoor CEO Diversity Pledge; Lise Aangeenbrug, managing director of the U.S. Outdoor Industry Association; Jessica (Wahl) Turner, managing director of the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable; and Ray Rasker, managing director of Headwaters Economics. All-access tickets for the conference are available on outdooreconomy.org for $149, and single-session passes are also available. Participants will have access to recordings of all conference materials for at least six months.
