While the upcoming Ispo Munich will be held entirely digitally, Ispo Beijing will be held physically and as planned from Jan. 14 to 16. However, since the majority of the world outside China will hardly be able to travel to Beijing due to Covid-19 restrictions, the show has now come up with something that is very reminiscent of a science fiction movie: If you cannot travel to China yourself, you can now order a personal avatar for your visit.

After registering on the website , you submit a full body image of yourself and define a time window for your visit. At the selected date and time, an English and Chinese-speaking Ispo employee will accompany a cardboard cut-out of each registered participant through the exhibition. This registrant can talk to the exhibitors via an iPad integrated into the cutout. The service will cost about €350 per day.

Ispo Beijing is also working on a possibility to offer a “mobile booth” for potential exhibitors who cannot attend physically.

More information about Ispo’s new avatar and mobile booth service will be available soon.
