A few days ago, the Genfoot headquarters and factories received high-ranking Canadian politicians, including the minister of environment and the minister of justice. The press event at the place where Kamik footwear is produced marked the launch of a new certification program supervised by the government for the use of recycled materials, and to reassure consumers that the items they purchase are made of recycled materials. Both ministers praised Kamik for both its recycling efforts and its competitiveness in regard to imported footwear.
