A Swedish company, Wiges, is taking a step closer to the sporting goods industry with the launch of a new brand called Life Wear. The new brand will offer socks, underwear and clothing made from organic bamboo that is grown without artificial irrigation or pesticides. The manufacturing process leading to the material used in the products is largely done in closed systems with a high degree of re-utilization of water and chemicals. Wiges is a special-purpose clothing company with an annual turnover of 120 million Swedish kronor (€11.7m-$13.7m).
