Berghaus has created a new product sustainability tag that will be seen from this season on the clothes made with eco-friendly fabrics and technologies. In order to earn a Made Kind tag, gear will have use a bluesign approved fabric, the ColourKind coloring process, or recycled materials. The brand has a particular focus on the reduction of water use in the dyeing process. The ColourKind technology, developed by Berghaus, allows fewer dyeing stages than regular fabrics and is said to result in 89 percent water savings, as well as a reduction of 63 percent in the chemicals used and of 60 percent in CO2 emissions. The use of this process has been extended this year to include a larger range of Berghaus products, featured in the summer clothing range.
