Bogs Footwear has launched a 2 percent Outdoor Education program. For every purchase on bogsfootwear.com, the company will donate 2 percent of the sale for outdoor education. The initiative is meant to help remove the financial barriers - via scholarships and grants – that prevent some kids from learning and enjoying the outdoors. The program will support activities such as children's urban gardening, outdoor exploration or science programs. The company is cooperating for initiatives in Portland, Oregon, such as Urban Nature Partners PDX and the Portland Children's Museum, as well as programs across the U.S. including the Urban Ecology Center, the Chicago Botanic Gardens' Windy City Youth Farm and Amicus Adventure Sailing.
