In the first test according to the ISO method (ISO 18184:2019 Textiles – “determination of antiviral activity of textile products”) using the SARS CoV-2 virus on textiles, Polygiene ViralOff® was confirmed to reduce the virus by more than 99 percent within two hours. The result did not surprise the Swedish ingredient brand, but “it is nevertheless of enormous value to have confirmation that the SARS-CoV-2 virus behaves in the same way as the other standard viruses tested in commercial contexts.” Polygiene has announced that it will continue to regularly test across several materials as well as for washing durability.
