Lorenzo Delladio, chief executive and new full owner of La Sportiva, has failed in his attempts to create an innovative and sustainable “Outdoor Paradise” around the Passo Rolle, a mountain pass that links the valley where his company is based with the flashy ski resort of San Martino di Castrozza. Local authorities have rejected his plan to free the area from its obsolete ski facilities, preferring them to be sold to another operator.
