The Microfibre Consortium (TMC) has officially approved the Swiss verification, testing and certification company SGS as its first third-party laboratory member. TMC, founded in 2018, facilitates the development of solutions for the industry to minimize textile fiber fragmentation and its release into the environment from textile manufacturing and the product lifecycle. The collaboration with SGS will provide TMC’s brand, retail and supplier members with tailored support and standardized testing services through SGS’s global network of testing laboratories. SGS, headquartered in Geneva, operates a network of over 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.
