Rudolf Group, the chemical company headquartered in Geretsried, Germany, has launched two new durable water-repellent (DWR) textile treatments for outdoor and sports apparel that are said to be entirely based on natural ingredients. Ruco-Dry Bio CGR is made from natural waste that accumulates as a by-product during the processing of cereal grains. The waste material that would normally be discarded is refined to obtain a water and stain repellent textile finish. Ruco-Dry Bio NPE is based on a mix of natural plant extracts with water and stain repellent effects that are not chemically or genetically modified. Both the Ruco-Dry Bio CGR and Ruco-Dry Bio NPE are marketed through Rudolf’s Bio-Logic trademark.
